About the Artist
Emily Dart is an ecological artist and restoration practitioner creating living landmarks that unite contemporary art, native habitat, and public experience.
Raised in the Texas Hill Country, she developed an intense commitment to conservation and creative expression. Her work began to take its present form through years spent in land stewardship and ecological restoration, where painting and sculpture expanded into a deeper investigation of living systems, reclaimed materials, and place.
After leading hands-on restoration projects throughout Central Texas—including several years of soearheading projects within the Barton Creek Greenbelt—Emily Dart founded River This World to unite her artistic and ecological practices. Working through sculpture, painting, native plants communities, water, soil, and salvaged materials, she creates site-responsive works that evolve over time while supporting biodiversity and deepening people’s relationship with the landscapes they inhabit.
